A very merry un-birthday

First things first.

We have a new follower!!

I would like to give a very warm welcome to my friend Sara!!

Sara is a lovely lady that I met while I was in Spain.

She isn't Spanish...I want to say she's from Sweden...but I don't know that for sure...

However, WELCOME! :D

I hope you enjoy your stay!!

Lot's of news today.

My home away from home, my job, has become infested.

With what I hear you ask?

With a big nasty evil bug called a Spider Mite.

For those of you who don't know what that is...

It's a big nasty evil mean bug that can kill your plants.

Now, I know what you're thinking:

"Baby Sister, those don't like like big evil bugs...they're so little!!"

Yes, my friends, they are little...but those little suckers are mean and evil!!
If left untouched they can kill the plant!!
Let this be your gardening lesson of the day.

Never EVER trust a Spider Mite.

The first indication that you shouldn't trust it should've been that it has the word spider in it...

But I'll let it slide just this once! Just don't let it happen ever again!!
In other news...

I work with the scouts in my church.

The youngest group.

The wolves.

I plan activities with them and help them pass off their little thingies...

Yeah, it's fun.

Something I never saw myself doing...

But it's fun! :)

Anyway, I got home today and my mom said:

"Did you see the plate of cookies for you?"

"Well, I saw the plate addressed to Sister Platt..."

(Sister is a term we use in our church for the women...Brother for the men)

"So I figured it was for you"

"It's not...it's for you"

"Oh...who's it from?"

"Your scouts"

"Huh? Which one?"

"You'll see"

So I opened the card...

And this is what I saw:

They were so cute!!

It made me feel all warm and special. :)

However, I have had WAYYYYY too much sweet stuff today...so the cookies will have to wait...otherwise my tummy might explode.

In other news...

I got a hair cut today!! :D

A VERY much needed one!

And with the hair cut my VERY favorite part.

An EYEBROW WAX!!

Have you ever tried that?

I did a few years ago...

And I haven't been able to go back to regular plucking since.

It's been awhile since I've gotten my hair cut

And because of that it's been awhile since I've gotten my eyebrows waxed.

So they went from looking like this:

To looking like this:

I think the second picture suites me much better...

Don't you?

Nextly...

I got an ouchie at work the other day.

I was getting on the 6-wheeler and slipped and my foot rammed into the side.

It looks totally cool!!

There it is being all swollen and stuff...

And there it is being all bruised.

Isn't that sweet??

Boyfriend doesn't think so...but I do.

And lastly, here's a treat for the Un-Birthday party to prepare you for pictures to come:

Papa Smurf. :)

Papa and Mama Smurf. :)

Boyfriend and I. :)

AND....ze cake!! :D

Night everyone!!

The Spider Mites are evil. Actually, everyone around me said the "they are so little" part.
Hope those bruises are gone soon. The cake looks great. Smiles...

Be careful with the brow waxing!! I have what has happened to many women who wax for years, very little eyebrow hair left. Waxing yanks the hair out by its roots causing damage to the follicle after years of this and oftentimes the hair will just stop growing back. Unfortunately, I lived through an era where the very thin eyebrow was in. And so...my eyebrows now are verrrry thin, too thin. Good news is I no longer need to pluck or tweeze. Bad news is, I have had to master the art of filling in eyebrows. If there was one thing I'd take back, it would be all those years of waxing, well that and all those years of sunning without sunscreen.

So, sorry, don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, but just wanted to tell you to be vewy, vewy cawfull as my friend Elmer Fudd would say.

Yay for new even numbered follower! Hello and welcome!

Couple pictures look mighty cute!! :) :)

The cookie story warmed my heart. How sweet! I might think of getting that job next. Treats like that would make me happy!

Second picture of you looks nicer. I agree!
