It's chocolate!! How could I not know????

I protested homework tonight

Does that make me evil?

We had to read this document for my History class

It was a famous sermon some dude gave

(I don't remember, and I'm too lazy to pull out the book....remember? protesting?)

I read it, and it went straight over my head

So far over my head it probably went into another galaxy

And when I got to class I just figured everyone else had a similar experience

I will tell you this, I did not walk away feeling like the smartest girl in the class

How is that every other person that spoke had something insightful to say?

And not me?

I'm not that dumb...

At least I didn't think so

It probably didn't help that I kept getting distracted by Boyfriend...and other things....

At work today, I was ringing up a customer with some chicken feed and she looked at me and said

"How are you?"

I don't think I sounded very convincing (maybe cause there was a sigh somewhere in there) when I said I was good and asked her how she was

She just laughed and said she had had a similar kind of day

As she was leaving she said "I hope you have a better day"

"I hope you do too ma'am"

"Just grin and bear it, that's what we do!!"

And it's not like I had had horrible customers all day, but the fact that someone asked me how I was, and meant it sincerely, brightened up my day a little bit

And then the very next customer was giving us a hard time because we didn't have Pepsi drinks available

We commiserated with each other for a little while about it, and as he left he said "I apologize that you have to work in these horrible circumstances"

That brightened up my day even more

Umm...did you know that today was National Chocolate Day???????????

I did not know this

I am deeply ashamed with myself

I did have chocolate ice cream today, but it doesn't really count towards that since I didn't even know it was  today....

So I think Boyfriend and I will have to celebrate tomorrow instead

But next year??

It's totally going on the calenders

Wow! I didn't even know there was such a thing as National Chocolate Day. I wonder if Hallmark has cards for this great day?
Now, I have to have chocolate and I have to have it now.
School is hard. Maybe you just weren't interested in the subject at hand. History can be the worst class, or the best class, depending on who is doing the teaching. Hang in there!

You are serious, aren't you? How did I miss the memo? I'm the one who sends those out.

I love randomly nice people-so glad that you had two in a row. I am way behind on the chocolate day boat-I agree on putting it on the calendar for next year though!

I didn't know either but I am pretty sure I ate chocolate that day. If not, I made up for it today.

I do the same thing and hope that everyone in class didn't do the hw or didn't understand it.

I hope things got better and there's still time in the evening to celebrate.
Take care my dear and have a relaxing and blessed weekend.
