Here I am!!

As far as sweeping is concerned, I tend to find it an obnoxious chore

Especially when it comes to sweeping off tables

I would imagine that the majority of the human beings

(speaking of human beings, has anyone seen the new Disney movie The Secret World Arrietty? It's a really cute movie and they call human beings "beans"...so now it makes me want to call us beans...kinda funny)

Anyway, I would imagine that the majority of human beings don't normally sweep off their tables...at least with a real broom

This is where my life is unique

I plant on two big tables back where I work

And because my work consists of a lot dirt, I have to clean off those tables frequently

And because I don't have basketball player like arms, it tends to get annoying and I walk away with dirt all over shirt

(like I didn't have enough already...)

And the majority of the time my shirts snag on the table and I end up with all of these holes on my shirt

Like so:

Now do you see why I have such a problem?

So the other day I was cleaning off the table

And all of the sudden a light bulb went on somewhere over my head

I had a brilliant idea!!

This is now my new way of cleaning off the table

And I personally think it's quite brilliant and really a lot easier

It's too bad I couldn't ever patent it or anything

Even if I could I'm sure there are millions of people who have already thought of this

I tend to be a bit behind on the times

As you can tell my world is full of deep and meaningful thoughts as of late

The class that I'm taking this semester?

It's meteorology

I took it because I've always been fascinated by the weather and I thought it would be fun

I was slightly off

Okay, more like really off

Maybe I'm just not in school mode

But I think it has more to do with the subject at hand

I just find it so boring

I always fall asleep while reading my textbook

And I don't internalize the majority of it

I'm just glad it's pretty much an easy class

I'll be glad when this semester is over

I get a 3ish month break from school and I am soooo looking forward to it

I have a stack of books that's about 20 tall that I need to read

And that's not even all of them

Plus I can finally finish my puzzle that I started 2 winters ago

Mama Smurf is getting really tired of it and the room it takes up in the basement

I have hopes that I haven't lost any pieces, but really it will be a miracle if I haven't

You'll be happy to know I got the evil number in my reader down to 197...at least that's where it was at last night

I'm sure it's back up to 200+ again this morning

208

That's not too bad

As you can see my life doesn't hold that much excitement right now

Things are picking up at work in my world, which means plants are starting to bloom so I'm sure I'll be bombarding you with pictures very soon

One more thing

Boyfriend was teasing me the other day

I don't really remember about what, but that's not really important

Anyway, I was reading my homework and had a highlighter in my hand and I told him if he didn't stop I would draw a heart on his face

Well apparently that didn't scare him because he didn't stop

I decided to pretend to draw a heart on his face, thinking he would back away from the highlighter and stop whatever he was doing

It didn't work

So I proceeded to do just what I had threatened to

I couldn't look like a weakling or something

He just left it there

Didn't even wipe it off or anything

Where is the fun if I threaten to do something to him and he just lets me and doesn't react at all??

*sigh*

It even started to fade so I drew it again

And still nothing

I guess he likes walking around with hearts all over his face

Maybe on Sunday when he's taking a nap I'll draw multiple hearts and see how he feels about that

I'm brilliant!!

draw a mustache on him. even better. I think your way of sweeping the table is brilliant. And I have missed your posts like crazy. I'll be glad when you are having a break from school.

Haha - Amanda you are funny. I remember getting holes in my work shirts all the time too from all the rough surfaces everywhere, but I think you hold the record for most work shirts ruined. :)

P.S. Tell your boy there that he should get a tattoo of a heart on his face permanently. It will make him look super tough.

XOXO,
Em

Glad to see you're still around!
Wow a 3 month break from school. That'll be pretty fun. I kind of in the same boat where there's so many books I need to read and puzzles I want to do. I love puzzles.

I'm not going to lie, I don't think I would have thought about the broom.

I am excited to see some pretty blooms-it has been unseasonably warm and we already have popcorn popping on the apricot tree!

Hi there! That is a VERY smart idea about the sweeping. One time at this place I used to work at, we caught the custodian who was cleaning the cafeteria, using the same mop he was using on the floor, to clean off the tables. That was of course, his last day with us...
I think you should expand the hearts into a Salvador Dali type moustache... I'm glad you are doing well and THANKS so much for leaving those comments!

BF looks rather pleased with the heart on his face. I think he wanted it there all along.

Be well, and I hope you get the final April Fool's prank in.

Your sweeping method is fabulous.

One of my dearest friends last child just left the nest. She was looking for something to do with her life now that she has an empty house and she decided to buy a televised series on meterology because, she too, was always fascinated by it. I was all, "Really" because the study of weather does nothing for me.

And just like you, she found it sleep-inducing boring. Like I said.
