Sunday quotes and words

Did you miss me??

"I like it better than dirt."

- Papa Smurf
in reference to my sister Tiffany's dessert...poor Tiffany.

"My grandfather once told me that there were two kinds of people: those who do the work and those who take the credit. He told me to try to be in the first group; there was much less competition."

- Indira Gandhi

"Divide and rule, a sound motto. Unite and lead, a better one."

- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

And the word of the day is....

Fossick:
To search for any object by which to make gain
To undermine another's digging; search for waste gold in relinquished workings, washing places, etc.
To hung; seek; ferret out

"Chorley ate and watched pigeons fossick for crumbs among the iron table and chair legs."

Night everyone!! :D

Poor Tiffany. Ouch. I can almost hear my Dad say that about my cooking. :( Not any more though. I won't allow it!

I have this new-found respect for Indira Gandhi. I've heard good things about her yesterday in the news. :) :) That quote made me smile!

Fossick. I like this sentence with the word! The pigeons must know me!

Flat chocolate chip cookies? The dessert? Anyways, I like Papa Smurf. Hey I have a tidbit. Did you know that Joel Siebel is the orginal artist for the Smurfs? Want to know something else? He lives about 20 miles from me. Know something else? I took care of his mama when she was alive and you know something else? I have two drawings he made for me and Mike when Mike was born. One was a Happy Being Born Day and the other was a his first birthday wish from Teddy and Train. I don't know if they are worth anything but it is cool to say that way up here in the back woods I know someone that did something famous.
Hope you're having a great day. Take care and God Bless!!!

@ jayaycee - It was a dark chocolate pie of sorts, and Papa Smurf, among other family members (myself included) don't like dark chocolate. :)
