Back to normal life...

Boyfriend's sister left this morning...

At 7:50...

Are you aware of what that means?

Well, you have to get there an hour early...

So that puts it at 6:45 to be safe...

And we live about an hour from the airport...

So we had to leave at 5:30...

Which means I kind of had to wake up at like...5:20

But I had to set my alarm for 4:50 just to be safe and snooze it for a few times

Luckily I didn't have to get ready at all before I got to Boyfriend's apartment

Did you know that on a typical Sunday in Utah at 5:30 in the morning the streets are pretty much empty? Even at 6:30 in the morning...and it's pretty much awesome. We didn't have to break or slow down or yell at kindly tell someone to move once? It was so nice. We made awesome time...it was great!!

So we got to the airport, got her checked in, and we were back home by 7:30ish?

I dropped Boyfriend off, and then went home and CRASHED into bed

And I'm still completely exhausted

Utterly exhausted

Needless to say...I won't really be posting tonight

I will share stories and such later

Just not tonight

And I'm using Mama Smurf's laptop, so I won't be doing quotes...

Just the word of the day

Which is:

slugabed: one who stays in bed until a late hour; a sluggard

"I found Oriana, as usual, up before me, for I always was a sad sluggard."

You know...in my other life, I would love to always be able to sleep in

There are benefits to sleeping in AND getting up early...

The earlier you get up and get work done, the earlier you ARE done. But then you have to go to bed early so you can wake up early

But, the later you sleep in, the more sleep you get which is always a blessed thing

It's a toss up

Anyway, I'm off for the night.

Hope you all had a good Sunday!!

Night!!

I got up so very early this morning too, but for a meeting. I never got to crash like you have though.

I love driving Sunday mornings in Utah. Sometimes I will wake up early ONLY so I can go out and drive a few miles.

I've realized that I'm a morning person...to a point. I can't for the life of my stay up late, but I can't function if I have to get up any time before 7. I'm difficult, I know. And I feel for you on the 4:50 thing. My hubby used to have to get up at 4:30 for work and it was terrible!

Those early morning airport runs are difficult but the empty streets definitely make it easier to take, especially when you get to be a slugabed later in your own comfy bed while your guest is trying to snooze on an airplane. =)

@ Shelle - I can stay up late, I'm just not as happy the next day. But I have to sleep in till 7:00...otherwise it's going to be a long day. :)

@ jayaycee - It's true. I slightly felt bad for her, but not enough to keep me awake. :)

You could list all the pros you want, I still feel like death when I have to wake up early (like this morning). I cannot wait to get home and nap. I'm lazy, I'll admit it.

We were up at the same time when we had to get my boyfriend to the airport in September.

I'm so glad to have you back. I can't tell you how glad.I'm in a sad mood and I've needed a familiar face.

I am a night owl. Getting up that early would require me to take a portable IV pole loaded with Starbucks.
