Story time

I got SO excited when I got home from work today

I don't have to go back tomorrow!! :D

It's my day off and I am in desperate need of it!!

It's Boyfriend's day off too and it might be the last day off we have together for awhile...so we must take advantage!!

I have 2 new followers!! Welcome friends!! I hope you enjoy your stay!! :D

So I have this nephew who is named Josh.

He just turned 4.

That's him with the life-sized dog we got him for his birthday

He and his parents live across the street from me and my parents so we get to see all of his cute little antics. :)

Things he loves:

Working

Tractors

Working

Being in the dirt

Working

Playing with his cousins

Working

Dogs

Working

Helping his dad

Working

Coming over to Grandma's to show her his latest cool item

Working

Rocks

...did I mention working? :)

So, the other day this nephew of mine was in preschool, having a grand ol' time. While there he happened to find a bean (of the kidney sort, I believe)

And this bean was just SO AMAZINGLY COOL that he had to have it...

So he did what every normal boy would do...he put it in his nose so he could take it home, having got so caught up in the excitement of it all that he forgot that he had pockets.

Fast forward a few hours and his very concerned mother was taking him to the doctor because she could not get the bean out

Doctor/nurse (not sure which) came in with 3 different tools...and they were ranked as follows: not so bad, a little worse, and really bad

She tried the not so bad...didn't budge the bean. She tired the a little worse...still didn't budge the bean. So she looked at mom and son and said "I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to use the evil one..."

"The evil one" was a really thin needle like device that was able to go around the bean and pull it down....it makes my stomach churn just thinking about it...

A little while and some blood later, they got the bean out and even put it in a little cup for him to take home.

He came over later to show Mama Smurf the bean in the cup and said to her: "I don't think I'll be putting anything in my nose anymore..."

I think that is a VERY wise decision Joshy boy. You must take after me. ;) Hehehe...I'm funny.

Boyfriend just got home and I reminded him that the other day I had told him that he could have my Cafe Rio leftovers...he was so excited it was almost like Christmas was here.

He got it out of the fridge, warmed it up, sat down to eat it....and all of the sudden I wanted it!!

Like...REALLY bad...

He asked me if I wanted a bite and I said yes...

And then I ended up eating quite a bit more than just a bite...

I just got really hungry all of the sudden and it looked good...

I still prefer Bajios to Cafe Rio, but it's still good...

Speaking of Boyfriend...he's requesting my presence, I best go...

I hope you all have a fabulous evening/day!!

Night!!

oh my goodness. 4 year old boys. My grandson when he was 4, stuck one of those little squishy rubbery snakes (not the whole thing, just a piece) in his now. They actually had to put him asleep at primary's and go in a get it because how far back it was. boys. you gotta love them.

This story is crazy! Poor kid! Brave kid! Cute kid!

I get hungry all the time. The weight-loss had better happen soon. Darn!

As soon as you said bean I knew. It is like a boy magnet, those beans. Thank goodness for my girls. They never shoved anything up their nose. They just took all their clothes out of their drawers and tried them all on and then left them there, as toddlers. They still do that actually.

I'm sure glad he's not going to do that anymore. that sounded awful!

Exactly what kind of work is that 4-year-old doing? Does he vacuum and mop and stuff? Maybe do some laundry? Sorry ... just dreaming about having a cute little assistant! The bean up the nose story sounds awful. Glad he's not planning on doing that again!!!

My girlfriend and I bead during the winter during nap time. One time one of my wee ones didn't rest to well and decided to become a pest. We started to clean up and just do wee one things and he said, "let's play hide and peek", "okay what do you want to hide" I said, "a bead" he said. He started giggling and I got that oh-oh look. He had stuff a bead up his nose. I couldn't for the life of me get that things so had to call his parents and off to the ER we went. Sat in the waiting room for a bit, wee one got scared and started to cry. Doctor finally was in, looked at the wee one, went to get the took and out feel the bead in all the snot. That was the last time he put anything up his nose. He came the next day with it on a piece of string, gave it to me and said "so we don't forget I can't put stuff up my nose". Little turkey. I still have it on that string, put away in my keep box.
Okay, I've got to get to work, no more reading for now. Take care and have a blessed afternoon.
